The Shining

This project is an artist’s book inspired by the film The Shining. Focusing on three pivotal scenes, I reimagined moments from the script using expressive typography. Letting the type convey the emotion, tension, and atmosphere of each scene. The book features interactive elements like flaps, folds, and pull-downs to create a layered, immersive reading experience. To complete the piece, I handcrafted a wooden enclosure and used wood-burning techniques to give it a raw, haunting finish that echoes the film’s eerie tone.
